What fun we had. I had no idea what to expect but we had SO much fun. We met up with so many friends and had a great time. First we met up with the Cole's in their cabin.....what great friends they are to let us shower there. (we had been camping for 2 days and 2 more to go with NO shower...it wasn't working for me). The morning of the parade (water park is a better word for it) we met up with the Matar's. They are a great family we met thru Emily's soccer. Bree and Emily are great friends and they have a cabin up in Heber too. We got there at about 8 and the parade didn't start until 11. The parade route was almost full already. Wow...do they go way out for it. They said we would get wet but I was not prepared! Drew started off having fun but by the end was not a happy camper!
We shopped at the festival they had....wow...went thru the cash really fast. I just had to have everything I saw. Very fun jewelry for Emily, cute scripture bag for Lauren, Drew rode the rides and played games. It rained for a little bit but once again...didn't ruin our fun. A little rain won't hurt anyone. They had great ice cream with the flavor swirled just on the edge. We had never seen anything like it so we had to try it. I had a frozen chocolate covered banana! HEAVEN!
Fireworks were so good! Kellee and Sarah saved us some spots. That is my boss and her sister in law. We all work together at MCT. Great girlies!! The Matar's joined us too. It was the best fireworks outside of Disney I have ever seen. The echo in the canyon was so unbelievable. It was SO loud. We were a little worried about Drew since he doesn't like loud noises but he loved it!
It was a great 4th of July....a tradition I hope we will continue for years to come!
