SATURDAY - JULY 25TH

Once we got our rental car and checked into the hotel we quickly were off to the Oquirrh Temple open house. It was so beautiful and they did a fabulous job. I am so grateful for the opportunity to take the kids to the open house. We met up with the Thompson's in the reception center afterwards. It was so good to see a familiar face. Emily also saw a boy from school there too. He looked at her like...hey...I know you. Of course they exchanged a quick hi!


We got some good pictures and then left to go back to the hotel. Don't forget that we had gotten up early, flew and basically went straight to the open house. On our way back we stopped by the Jordan River temple. It was so beautiful too!!!


We were trying to make it back to the hotel and Andy wanted to stop and eat dinner at a restaurant that Guy from Diners, Drive Ins and Dives recommended!

OVERRATED!!!!!!

It was edible but when you have Joe's BBQ to compare it to nothing will beat it. Poor Drew didn't even order anything!!!
After dinner we still had intentions on going back to the hotel but decided to go to temple square. Now...the Salt Lake Temple is absolutely amazing in pictures but nothing will compare to seeing in it person! We walked around and in a few buildings, listened to some performances and then walked around a little more. Lauren was so cute at the family history center. She was DETERMINED to find a relative. Now that is all she talks about. She asked if I can call my Aunt Dee Dee and see where we are at and what we need to do to get our family on there. One more thing now for her to ask me about daily!!



Finally back to the hotel. We let the kids down because they wanted to swim but it was already 10:30ish and I was BEAT! Off to bed and early to rise to be at church by 9:15. What a great day!!
