Well.....it was finally here! All three kids are in school ALL day! Oh what am I going to do with myself? I have a HUGE list but of course I had to start off my first day by hanging out with a friend then meeting another friend for lunch! Oh this is going to be nice!
Drew was a little nervous but not a lot. He kept saying he didn't want to go to school all day because it was too long! He is so excited that he gets to go to "Lauren's school."
Lauren was so excited. She has a FABULOUS teacher and will have a great year (hopefully).
Emily....we drove the carpool first.......nothing beats picking kids up at 6:00am for school. Poor girl! It is a sacrifice but one she wants to do for Seminary! She loves it!
I dropped off the carpool then came back home. Lauren was already awake and I was not waking Drew up until 7:00. He did not want to wake up. Not a good start. I asked what he wanted for breakfast and he said nothing. I told him he had to eat before he went to school. He said he just wanted water. That wasn't working for me. I gave him a granola bar and milk. He didn't have much to do with it. Took them up to school and tried to make my way around all the millions of parents, video cameras, grandparents, strollers. YIKES!! Lauren walked to her class but wouldn't even kiss me! Too cool for that BUT if we were in the parent drop off she wouldn't have stepped foot out of the car without a kiss! Little stinker! It was Drew's turn to go into school.....off he went! Ahh.....so nice to have them all gone ALL day! Yes, I miss my buddy home but it had to come sooner or later. I am grateful for the time I have had him at home!
After school....geez....I almost forgot to pick up my kids. Where did my day go! Picked Drew up at the flagpole. He must have been a good boy today because he got a sticker on his calendar! I just love the standard answer to "How did your day go buddy?" Fine...we did nothing!
I am afraid the years are going to fly by now! We have a 10th grader, 6th grader and one in Kindergarten this year! Next month Emily starts driving!! That is scary!
